Elevation Certificate
A FEMA Elevation Certificate is a document used to certify the elevation of a property relative to the Base Flood Elevation (BFE), which is the level at which flooding is expected to occur during a 100-year flood. This certificate is often required for properties located in flood-prone areas to determine flood insurance rates and assess flood risk. It is completed by a licensed surveyor and provides crucial data for insurance companies, property owners, and local governments to assess and manage flood risk.
